Harmony in Healing: Uniting Faith and Harm Reduction Practices
This webinar will cover key aspects of faith-based communities’ involvement in harm reduction. These include non-judgmental approach, sense of belonging and support, moral and ethical guidance, integrated approach, outreach and awareness, stigma reduction, partnerships with healthcare services, prevention programs, and spiritual healing and transformation. Faculty also will discuss potential challenges that faith-based communities face in addressing complex addiction issues, such as lack of expertise or resources. Faculty will describe strategies for overcoming these challenges by collaborating with professionals, addiction specialists, and evidence-based programs to provide the most effective harm reduction and support services for those struggling with drug use.
